United Nations

The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the maintenance of international peace and security, the development of friendly relations among nations, the establishment of international cooperation and its function as a center of harmonization of the activities of nations. It is the largest, best-known, most representative and powerful international organization in the world. The United Nations is headquartered in New York on the international scene and is headquartered in Geneva, Nairobi, Vienna and The Hague. As the only truly global organization in the world, the United Nations has become an important forum for dealing with cross-border issues. The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Today it is composed of 193 Member States and the United Nations, and its functions are guided by the purposes and principles set out in its charter. The United Nations has evolved over the years to adapt to the rapidly changing world. But one thing remains the same: It is another place on Earth where all the peoples of the world can meet, discuss common problems, and find common solutions that will benefit all of humanity.
