Information

Information can be seen as a solution to uncertainty; It answers the question “what is an entity” and thus defines both its nature and the nature of its characteristics. The concept of information has different meanings in different contexts. Thus, the term becomes synonymous with boundaries, communication, control, data, form, learning, knowledge, meaning, understanding, mental stimulation, pattern, perception, proposition, performance and entropy. Information refers to data. The difference is that information resolves uncertainty. The data can be interpreted with redundant symbols, but it approximates the information through optimal data compression. Information can be transmitted over time through data storage and location, and through communication and telecommunications. Information is conveyed in the content of the message or by direct or indirect observation. What is perceived can be interpreted as a separate message and in this sense, information is always communicated as the content of the message.
